Koh Samui

  • Get your caffeine fix with the locals
  • Pick up a bag of fair trade coffee beans

Serious about your caffeine fix? Then make the 10-minute drive to Boy’s Organic Coffee which has locals buzzing over their espresso drinks and strong drip coffee. This tiny café, steps from the beach in the charming Thong Krut fishing village, serves up the best Aussie-beloved flat white—made with slowly poured micro foam for a velvety texture—on Koh Samui. Thai owner and head barista,Boy, sources his shop’s organic beans from an independent, fair trade Hill Tribe farmer in Chiang Mai, the country’s coffee hub. Boy brews several types of roasts and blends, but for a flat white he uses the single-origin peaberry, made from an exclusive plant that grows a full coffee bean, rather than a half, on the tip of the branch. On your way out, grab a bag of ground coffee or whole beans to bring home.

Direct the taxi driver to Thong Krut fishing village, a 10-minute drive from the resort. Look for the small, open-air coffee shop facing the beach.
